The fixation can be so strong that we remain paralyzed for hours. Once we break free from the focus, the sensations come rushing back.
Sometimes we even use bathroom breaks as motivation to complete tasks...
Most neurodivergents have poor interoception. Which means we have a poor sense of bodily urges like hydration, temperature, hunger, and sleep.
CONSEQUENCES OF WAITING
It’s bad for our bladder, urinary tract, and liver to wait too long to urinate. Consistently waiting too long can cause UTIs and eventually urosepsis: a life threatening infection when an untreated UTI spreads to the kidneys.
